When we support early childhood professionals in their career, we make a difference in the lives of kids, families, and our community. We offer affordable training for early childhood professionals so they can grow in their career and best serve their kids.
Leadership Learning Community
Leadership Learning Community is a monthly leadership group for early childhood directors in Arapahoe County. It’s a self-led group where directors choose topics that actually meet their current needs. As members, directors are eligible to receive points in Colorado Shines for professional development and participating in Arapahoe County Early Childhood Council’s leadership program.
Shining Bright Quarterly Trainings
We offer a free workshop for early childhood professionals every quarter. Each Shining Bright training counts for three credit hours of professional development with PDIS, Colorado Shines. Trainings cover everything from how to use rating scales to improve your classroom to best practices in early childhood education.
EQIT Classes
We offer Expanding Quality in Infant Toddler (EQIT) courses year-round as part of a statewide initiative to improve quality of care. These low-cost, interactive courses are a solid introduction to infant and toddler development with a focus on quality group childcare.
PD Calendar
We put together a regular professional development calendar to licensed providers in Arapahoe County with resources and trainings. We don’t just include our own programs, but others from around the county that would be useful for anyone working in early childhood.
Let’s G.R.O.W.
ACECC has launched a new monthly community call. Join us for Guidance, Resources, Opportunities, and Wisdom (G.R.O.W.)!
Early childhood providers, administrators, and staff will gain valuable knowledge. Each month, we’ll cover the key updates YOU need to know to stay on top of your work. This community call will include special presentations from partner organization, so that you can get information straight from the source.
Annual Quality Forum
Our Annual Quality Forum is an day of learning and professional development for early childhood professionals in Arapahoe County and nearby areas. All training sessions count towards a Colorado Shines certification in early childhood.
Putting on the Quality Forum gives professionals much-needed education and support, so they can thrive in their classrooms. When they succeed, so do our children and communities.
The Quality Forum is typically held in the spring every year.
