Every family deserves to thrive!
Family education classes aren't just for the inexperienced; they’re for everyone who wants to be a better parent, grandparent, or caregiver. We know that the early years are a critical and unique time to ensure optimal development. Let’s face it, sometimes raising children is hard. That’s why it’s important to meet other families who face the same challenges you do. While learning new nurturing strategies is important, sometimes you just need the listening ear of someone who knows what you’re going through.
Colorado Early Learning and Development Guidelines
The Early Learning and Developmental Guidelines provide descriptions for what children know and are able to do. Find out how you can use the guidelines to support your child's development everyday.
Parents as Teachers Home Visitation Program
Being a Parent is Hard Work!
In the first few years, children learn more and at a faster pace than any other time in life. You help shape your child’s future through the kinds of experiences you provide. Your baby was born to learn, and as a parent YOU are your child’s first and most important teacher.
Parents as Teachers helps
PAT certified parent educators are trained to translate scientific information on early brain development into specific when, what, how and why advice for families. By understanding what to expect during each stage of development, you can easily capture the teachable moments in everyday life to enhance your child’s language development, intellectual growth, social development and motor skills.
Promoting Safe and Stable Families
The Arapahoe County Department of Human Services has partnered with ACECC to help communities find innovative, collaborative ways to deliver services that promote healthy families and keep children safe.

Bright by Three
Learning doesn’t begin when a child starts school. Amazingly, 85% of a baby’s intellect, personality, and social skills are developed in the first three years of life. But because babies don’t come with operating instructions, all parents need a little guidance on how to make the most of this critical period.
That’s where Bright by Three comes in. Bright by Three visits with parents and other caregivers and provides a three-step program to make sure their little ones get the best start at life. And it’s absolutely free for these families, supported entirely by charitable contributions.
