CCAP Quarterly - Creating Dynamic Outdoor Spaces

CCAP Quarterly - Creating Dynamic Outdoor Spaces

ACECC is hosting our quarterly CCAP workshop on August 10th from 9 AM - 12 PM.

Do you work in early childhood? Please join us for a morning of training and community with ACECC staff, Department of Human Services, and other early childhood professionals!

This quarter, we are partnering with ECHO, Early Childhood Health Outdoors for a special presentation on:

Creating Dynamic Outdoor Spaces for Young Children

As early childhood professionals, we recognize the importance of the outdoors for the cognitive, physical, and social emotional development of young children. However, in many child care programs the outdoor play space for young children is often overlooked and underutilized. In this 3-hour hands-on training, you will learn how to assess and analyze an outdoor space, be able to identify best practices in outdoor learning environments and begin to re-imagine the outdoors into a dynamic, flexible and natural environment that engages children. The tools and experiences from this training will allow you to support child care programs in various settings and help ensure young children have access to high quality outdoor learning environments.

This Workshop provides 3 hours of continuing education that early childhood professionals can use to satisfy state licensing requirements.

Light Breakfast will be provided.

Saturday, August 10th, 2019 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
