Very young children develop language and literacy through interactions and experiences with the adults around them. Emergent literacy begins at birth and is the focus of this comprehensive curriculum. Participants will study the developmental stages of early language and literacy. They will review the role of relationships, culture and stories in early language and literacy development. Cradling Literacy is an excellent training for both parents and families to support early language and literacy. This series provides twelve hours of continuing education (must be taken as a series to receive points for the Colorado Early Childhood Professional Credential 2.0).
When: Tuesday/Thursday nights 6- 8 pm from June 5- June 21. *Must have a minimum of six enrolled to hold the session.
