Investing in Quality Project

The Investing In Quality (IQ) Project is a quality improvement project funded by the Arapahoe County Department of Human Services to provide resources to improve quality in early childhood programs in Arapahoe County.
The Investing in Quality Project is modeled after our School Readiness Project with similar goals and activities. The main goal is to provide Early Childhood Education programs with access to resources to assist them in improving the quality of care and education provided for children and families in our community. Sites are evaluated for program quality using the Environment Rating Scales for Infants/Toddlers, Preschoolers, School Age and Family Child Care Homes.
The Investing In Quality Project focuses on these key areas of quality care and education:
 - Provide sites with an evaluation of each classroom using the Environment Rating Scale assessments.
- Provide highly skilled and well-trained consultants to provide coaching, modeling and technical assistance with early childhood programs to plan and implement developmentally appropriate practice in the learning environment.
- Provide resources to support staff in early childhood settings with their professional development.
- Provide resources and materials and equipment to enhance the quality of the learning environment.
- Provide resources and strategies to improve family partnerships within the early childhood programs.
Programs interested in becoming involved with the Investing in Quality Project must apply and programs will be accepted in the project based on availability and if the program meets the project criteria as part of the application process.
