Colorado Qualified Child Care Tax Credit
Taxpayers who make a monetary contribution to promote childcare in Colorado may claim an income tax credit of 50% of the total contribution. Gifts to ACECC are tax deductible in addition to being eligible for the 50% tax credit.

Qualifying contributions may be used for the following purposes:

• A registered training program for childcare
• A registered information dissemination program that assists parents with childcare information and referrals
• The establishment or operation of a Colorado childcare program
• A registered grant or loan program for Colorado parents needing financial assistance for childcare

EXAMPLE: $1,000 donation to ACECC
-$300 Federal Tax Deduction
-$50 Colorado Tax Deduction
-$500 Child Care Tax Credit
= $850 Total Reduction and $150 Net Cost

This example is based on several assumptions. Consult your tax advisor regarding your specific situation. All donations must be cash. In-kind donations, including securities, are not eligible for this credit.
